The software encoder this build runs for codec on this machine, or None for JPEG and for
a codec whose encoder does not run here.
Every one is fixed by the crate features: libx264 and x265 whenever gpl is on (it wins
even if openh264 is also enabled), Cisco OpenH264 and kvazaar for a GPL-free build; libvpx
serves VP8 and VP9 and SVT-AV1 serves AV1 in both. H.264 is what the striped software
path and the full-frame software fallback under NVENC/VA-API both encode with. Each
full-frame encoder is opened on a frame in a forked child once, so one that takes its
process down on this machine is one the build does not carry here.
