WideFrameNum

Struct WideFrameNum

Source
pub struct WideFrameNum { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

An x264 or NVENC stream with frame_num widened by a byte, in its sequence parameter sets and every slice header.

x264 sizes the counter to its decoded picture buffer, sixteen values for eight references, NVENC to 256, and a loss covering the frame where it wraps costs a key frame (ReferenceWindow): past a gap across the wrap, FFmpeg’s decoder drops about a range of pictures. Widened, the wrap comes once in 4096 or 65536 frames. The field’s low bits stay the encoder’s, and the byte ahead of them counts its wraps since the key frame.

Implementations§

Source§

impl WideFrameNum

Source

pub fn push(&mut self, payload: &[u8], out: &mut Vec<u8>) -> bool

Append payload, one Annex B NAL unit with its start code, to out: a sequence parameter set widened, and a slice under a widened one. False where a slice could not be, which leaves its picture unreadable; the caller then codes a key frame, whose set goes out as it came.

Source

pub fn push_unit(&mut self, start: &[u8], nal: &[u8], out: &mut Vec<u8>) -> bool

push for a NAL unit apart from the start code it goes out behind.
